Shoes & Fur Inspiration

27 February

I want to get into blogging and sharing about new fashion lines and pieces I found that are absolutely sassy and stylish to complete an awesome wardrobe :)

Let's get right into it! First off--
Gwen Stefani's new GX line on ShoeDazzle

What I love:
What I love about her new shoe and handbag line is that she organized them in different color sets (there are also reds, blues and blacks on her Shoedazzle boutique). I always imagine Gwen's style to be eccentric yet seductive-- when I saw her shoes I immediately thought "wow how fitting! This is so her style." I also praise her for the open toe detail on the booties-- I own a pair of open toe booties myself and I think they are hands down the sexiest type of boots! The details on her shoes are very well thought out and I especially love the strap and ankle designs. Take a look at the first row second from the left, the strap design over the front of the foot and the skin peek almost remind me of my dream shoes --

Jeffrey Campbell's Barnes:
Ugh so sexy-- JC you are always tempting me!
Next off--
Aminah Abdul Jillil Bow Pumps!!

They're so cute how can anyone not love them?!! Wait minus the price...

Black or Red? I'm going with Red because that's my favorite color ;)

Pretty Ms. Aimee Song with her pumps!
I first saw these bow pumps on Song of Style and I remember seeing designer shoes from Louboutin's where the bow and ribbon are made towards the back of the heel instead of on the side to the ankle strap:
Nonetheless pumps in general are so feminine and simple because they can go with every outfit! I'm definitely going to save up and invest in some cute bow/ribbon pumps-- you can play them up with skinny jeans, circle skirts, embroidered dresses, etc the list goes on and on! Most certainly an awesome find :)

Lastly--
Fur jackets that were all over the fashion shows last month and this month
I always knew fur jackets were classy and fabulous for fancy events but they are more encouraged to be a regular addition to your normal day-night outfit (at least for now in this season!):

Milan Fashion Week (Thanks to Fur Insider!)

Ports 1961 | Fall 2014-Winter 2015
From Fur Insider's note:
"We know that there is a late 70's vibe trending as we saw in the shows in New York and London. One welcome surprise is the return of the long fur coat. In past seasons the fur hem have been regularly rising, but Milan is thinking otherwise. The innovative fur treatments are great, which makes the looks timely and a bit fashion forward."

Roberto Cavalli & Emporio Armani | Fall 2014-Winter 2015

London Fashion Week

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi & Tom Ford | Fall 2014-Winter 2015

From Fur Insider's note:
"When fur follows this formula, it becomes an exciting and colorful partner. Dyed or rinsed fur is really imposing itself this season. The nuances in the calibration of color parallels the textiles in a garment for interesting textural justapositions."

Emilio de la Morena | Fall 2014-Winter 2015

I think it's so brilliant that they're bringing back the fur trend because I've always seen fur jackets/vests/scarfs as such an elegant addition to the wardrobe. Winter can be a pretty challenging season to put together a nice outfit mainly because of the layering, fitting, and how warm you want to dress, especially if brighter colors are more encouraged in the Summer whereas darker/deeper tone colors are in the Winter. For me, I don't necessarily have a bunch of bright color clothing, but I enjoy pairing lighter silhouettes in the Winter over darker. This is why bringing back the fur trend is so exciting because it adds the extra "wow" factor to Winter clothes. Speaking of which, I'm actually on the hunt for a nice fur (faux, no animals for me!) jacket myself and I can't wait to put it together in an outfit and show you guys on my next update!

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more next time :)

As always,
Cece
