Having lived on the east coast for over ten years, I only knew summers that were often hot and humid. Everything's changed when I moved to California. I discovered that the climate here is dry and summers come with heat waves and cooler temps in the morning and night. Truly the desert life - you could imagine me gluing to my water bottle 24/7! Aside from staying hydrated as my number 1 goal, I also prepared a few outfit ideas that fit into the trends this year.

The maxi trend is a constant favorite with a comfortable fit and a lengthy silhouette. Easy to style with a flattering bodysuit or a fitted top to accentuate your figure. Add height to your look with a pair of embroidered boots and finish with minimal designed jewelry for an extra sparkle.

One of my favorite ways to elevate a look is to add a satin piece to it. The smooth and glossy details instantly class up any outfit. I love a satin blouse paired with simple black pants and pom-pom sneakers. The fabric is soft enough to wear all day and also flattering due to its luxurious appeal.

TOBI: 3 Summer Essentials
With the temperature on the rise, I am excited to introduce summer pieces that are inspired by the California flair. Thanks to TOBI, these three fabulous essentials are my absolute go-to.
Now that summer is approaching, I am so excited to finally let go of long pants and leggings. With the humid, sticky weather everywhere, denim shorts are a must when it comes to fighting off the heat! Washed to a medium indigo shade, this pair of high-waist shorts are perfect to style for everyday and casual occasions. Detailed with a rolled hem, these denim shorts are finished with a five-pocket construction and zip fly.

While I do love a two-piece bikini set, I enjoy sitting and lounging in a one-piece that offers more coverage! Banana Republic: What Moves Us
I wake up at 8:15am every morning, checking both my calendar and inbox. Similar to other bloggers in the city, dedicating to a full time job and sustaining the blog are two most important tasks. Aside from building my career, there are five things I'd like to share with you that personally move and motivate me.

1. Family & sisters
I'm 80% my family and 20% me. My sisters are my everything. I grew up with them and we share more than just our bloodline. They motivate and inspire me everyday to achieve my goals in life.
2. Significant other
My boyfriend Devon is one of the best people I met. He's kind, loving and supportive. Most importantly, he moves me everyday to be a better person.
3. Healthy mind, body & soul
I won't be able to conquer anything without a healthy state of mind. I visit the local gym 3-4 times a week to stay fit and in shape. Health equals success.
4. Sustainability
Advocating for ecological balance and elimination overconsumption motivates me deeply. Resolving the world's climate change issue is our mission and responsibility.
5. Community
Having relocated from one city to another, I value the importance of finding a community. Having a voice in a group that I assimilate with moves me equally as anything else.

I absolutely adore this LNA top! Not only is it ultra-soft to the touch, but its V-neck detail is both feminine and modest. The most interesting feature is the minimal cutouts at front. Pairing this knitted top with the white ankle jeans, I would say this is one of my favorite weekend attires so far! With Lily’s recommendation, I finished the look with the MIA mule wedges for an added edge.

All three looks are great for weekend, travel and casual work days! White denim is easy to style because it coordinates well with any color. Overall, the pieces Stitch Fix put together for me were phenomenal. I find myself wearing all of my pieces over and over again!
