The Black Halo: Jackie

All About Maxi

It is finally warming up in LA and all I can think about is maxi season. I own a handful of clothes but nothing makes me happier than adding full-length dresses and skirts. I'm delighted to share with you a beautiful piece by Shein. This elegant maxi dress features a paisley pattern, fluttery silhouette and tulip hem. With a flattering surplice neckline, this delicate piece is crafted with a modern wrap design and a tie at the waist.

Albion Fit: Island Hopper

Hands down, this is the cutest swimsuit I own. Think one-piece is boring? Think again. Designed with the Izabal palm print on top, bold black-and-white stripes on bottom and a sassy front cutout, this swimsuit features an open back tied together by two bows.

Thanks to Albion Fit, I am excited to share a full review on the look, fit and quality of this one-piece.

My favorite part about the Island Hopper is the beautiful, vibrant palm print. I feel like I'm on vacation running around in this suit. The fit is excellent and it wraps around my body like a glove. I wear a size XS which fits 31.5" on the bust, 24" on the waist and 34" on the hip. If you're a size 25 like me, you'll have no problem wearing the XS!

With a flattering cutout at front, this swimsuit actually resembles more of a two-piece bikini. The cutout is positioned in the center of the torso while the bottom rises up to be a high-waist. The retro style reminds me of the vintage swimwear that were made famous by pinup models in the 50s. Plus, with an optional halter strap, I can decide to wear it alone like a bandeau top. The double bows at the back add extra dimension to the suit and the bottom is shaped with the perfect amount of peek.

Rose on Robe

Since the start of a new year, I've been setting small, measurable goals every week. While managing my own blog and social media content, I'm also helping a denim brand refocus their vision.

Having been my second week at my new job, I am already handling most of the marketing and promotions on the team. I enjoy carrying more responsibilities especially in areas that I'm good at! While I love learning new skills, I get way more excited about activities that I'm already familiar with and have plenty of ideas for. We have our seasonal lookbook shoots this week and next week. I'll be in charge of styling the shoot as well as the model's hair and makeup. This is a huge opportunity and one of the perks of working in a smaller brand. Not to mention, I also plan exclusive influencer events and represent public relations for the company.

Aside from work, I'm over-the-top excited to share this olive two-piece set and satin robe! Oh yes, you heard me right. I am now obsessed with wearing a robe outdoors! Just kidding, I haven't gotten that lazy yet. But I have been excited about this satin striped piece especially how it comes with a rose embroidery at the back. Going for a retro vibe with extra robe flow, I love wearing my red velvet booties to compliment the blue and olive green colors. I can't remember when this army-inspired green became so popular. I'm seeing this shade fade away this year and more so the blush and deeper reds are coming through. What colors do you see trending?
