Happy Chinese New Year!
I teamed up with the wonderful Kenny for this film-like photoshoot to do a soft and sophisticated feminine look. I was so excited because I always adore the dress with over the knee boots style. I had these suede boots for a while and I was dying to pair them with a simple one to two tone dress. The most important thing about styling an outfit with over the knee boots is that the shoes are already very sexy on its own since tall boots in general enhance the length of your legs and lift your behind-- that's why you want to be careful with wearing a top that is too revealing. I was going for a sweater dress but I decided to put Winter behind us and grab a pink sheer dress for a Spring look instead.
FYI I am obsessed with the delicate V detail in the front and open back! It screams sultry without being too over the top. I also just found out that this dress is now on sale for $39 on Urban Outfitters! Get it while it's still out ;-)
I love the way Kenny edited these photos to bring out such dramatic effect to my look. Every photo tells a story and I am all about making photos come alive. I really like the idea of showcasing an outfit in a picture but what's more satisfying is putting together a style that conveys an overall expression. Being able to work with new photographers in the area and realizing my concepts to life are very motivating. I have drawn up a few more concepts that are in the works of going from paper to real life! Stay tuned for more blog posts coming your way :-)
